How far is Athens in greece to Neo Marmaras?

As we are planning our summer family holidays, and want to go to Neo Marmaras, but i can't find which airport you would fly to, and also how long the transsfers would be?? anybody any idea??

1. Neos Marmaras is in Northern Greece, in Chalkidiki, near Thessaloniki. So you need to get by plane to Athens and then again by plane to Thessaloniki. If possible you can fly directly to Thessaloniki, without going to Athens. From there you need a car or public transport to get to Neos Marmaras. Athens - Thessaloniki by plane is about an hour's travelling and then you will possibly need about two hours to reach Neos Marmaras.
2. Very very far am living near there and athens is like from manchester to london.
3. Neo Marmaras is a new town, built for us, Greek newcomers in Greece, refugees from Asia Minor. The land has belonged to Macedonians, who were expelled out of Greece. The real town Marmaras is in Turkey.
4. Think twice anyway. Greece is not very safe for western people. Frequent sexual insults especially over minors !
