how do i travel from the athens city to mykonos island?? how far and how much?? cheap hotels in mykonos?

i will be travelling to athens in 24 jun to 28 jun 08. will be styaing at Athenaeum InterContinental Athens first. how do i travel from there to mykonos island and how much?? from mykonos ferry terminal, is there any cheap hotels and roughly wats the price?? wat shud i do in both athens n mykonos as this is my first time with my fiance.. help greatly appreciated.. thank you so much.

1. Dear friend, 1. travelling from Athens to Mykonos can be done by air - cost 100-120EUR per person - average price. or you can go by boat-ferry from Piraeus port. Cheap hotel in Mykonos: l suggest to search the internet. Prices differ but you can easily find apartments with 70 - 90 EUR per night. ( please note that you travel mid-season) Check hotel Adonis, it's nice and reasonable! In Athens you can walk around the centre, go to the Acropolis, to Monastiraki, to ancient Agora, to Syntagma. In Mykonos you can go for swimming, walk around town - very romantic, go to a beach party!

4. Archer is right about the information but I really think she is optimistic about the rates of the hotels.... Mykonos is really expensive this time of year and I think you would be lucky if you find room cheaper than 120 Eur per night..
5. Flying is the fastest way to get to Mykonos from Athens (the flight is about 45 mins.) In Mykonos, there is a beautiful hotel right on the beach called Hotel Argo. (http://www.argo-mykonos.gr/) It's right next to the bus stop which will take you into the city of Mykonos where all the souvenir shops, ferries, etc. are located. They will also pick you up and drop you off at the airport or ferry. I just stayed there in May and it was so nice!!!! I definitely recommend it and the prices are reasonable.
