1. What do you consider cheap? Does quality matter to you? There are some "cheap" hotels, but you may not really like them or their location. My advice is to go to a site like http://www.booking.com - - - type in ATHENS, look at the different hotels available and their descriptions and location. Then you can choose something in your price range. If you refine your search to 2 star hotels, it will show you only the "cheap" ones.

3. There are many hotels in the range of "cheap" in Athens. The main question is where are they located. On the links provided by the two ladies, avoid as a rule any hotels you may find on 3rd Septembriou str., or Acharnon str., and all he streets adjoining those two streets. That does not mean the hotels are wrong but the area is not the best for a girl alone. If you define cheap we may be able to point you in the right direction.
