Cheap hotels in Athens.?

I need a cheap but clean room/hotel with private bathroom and with a lift, for a family of four. I also want it to be in the central of Athens, either in Plaka or Monastiraki. Thanx.

1. Cheap? None! For family of four be prepared to pay 75 to100 Euros per night. Skinning is the national sport in Greece. @ To the smart Alek below. Motel and family hotels in Australia do cost only 30 to 60 Euros per night for family of four. And for your info - even if it isn't you F business: 1.080 A$ dollars after tax per week. So about 4.500 A$ or 2.250 euros per month. And most of the time I am donating this money to the charity - because I don't need them. Average clear income in Australia is 1.850,- euros per month. Eat your heart out. And if you do believe that the price is right - good, pay it - you must be used to the rip off. We aren't!!! You can get a good hotel of the Formula 1 type for four people 50,- Euros p/n even in Paris. And I know that for sure. If you pay more you are a d...head.

To the answerer above: do you consider 75 euros per night for a family of four to be expensive?wow ! how much do you earn per month? 100 euros? pathetic To answer the question : There are many hotels, however in Plaka there are mostly expensive hotels as in Syntagma Square. I would suggets you hotel Attalos, Arethusa or King Jason, they all have good prices and they are centrally located.
