1-Melia athens 2-Airotel stratos vassilikos or 3- the athenian callirhoe exclusive hotel. PS -My boyfriend is very religious and would love to visit the monasteries in greece one in particular is kicos sorry if spelt wrong. I think they only allow males in. I heard him talking about it. Would love to organise this for him . Any advise where this monastery is in greece. Thanks

  2. All the hotels are good, but location is critical. For that reason none of these would be my 1st choice, but if it has to be out of these 3 I would not go to the Melia. Airotel Stratos Vassilikos is in a good area, but both this & the Callirhoe are not in easy walking distance to see everything, you need to use the metro, tram or bus. If I were choosing I would go for a good 3 or 4 star that's more central, there are plenty, you don't need the extra luxury in Athens, you spend so little time in your room! The well known Kykkos Monastery is in Cyprus.
